Readings at the Lit Lit
I’ve been blessed to be part of a vibrant community of writers that read our work at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, NY. The Howland Cultural Center is a historic old library that has been converted into a space for cultural events and it is absolutely lovely. Poets, authors, and sometimes even rappers share a 5 minute excerpt from their work. Please Join us for an evening of literary surprise!

Sankofa—The Journey: Go Back and Get It!
I’ve partnered with UBlack Collective and the Salt Lake Acting Company to create a beautiful live performance featuring music, spoken word, visual arts and my own original choreography. The theme will be in the spirit of the Nguzo Saba, the seven principles of unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Join us as we explore through art what it truly means to black in white spaces. Join us for a limited performance.

African Cultural Celebration
A 45 min African Cultural Celebration at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley, UT. Enjoy traditional and Afrobeat dances choreographed by Yvonne Baraketse, Shakira Smith, Maddie Lamah, and Julie Robinson.
